When I was first diagnosed with an anxiety disorder the only thing i wanted to hear or discover is a cure, or treatment which could get rid of the disorder all-together to be never seen again. 🌸 It took a long time, a lot of panic episodes and a lot of downfalls to realise what I know today. I have learned that anxiety disorders can’t really be removed from your life, not completely. Once anxiety becomes a part of your everyday living it’s almost impossible to just shake it off like it never happened. It becomes a part of us, and no matter how hard we try to fight against it, we have to learn to live with it in our everyday lives. 🌸 I know the triggers, the certain kinds of people, situations and environments which cause anxiety for me and it is safe to say these things are not a part of my life anymore. Self growth and self help is about designing your own life, which brings out the best in you. I go places which make me feel calm, I appreciate the people who sooth the symptoms and I only do things that don’t disturb my inner peace. 🌸 That being said, it is important to push yourself in order to grow. I went for a meal by myself the other day, in a restaurant. Completely on my own. This is something I never thought I could do, and needless to say I felt stupid and anxious the entire time. But, I did it. It is easy to let anxiety consume you and make you unsociable, but as long as you have the self-awareness that you need to break out of the cycle and build a more confident you, then it’s only a matter of time before you blossom. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 #anxietyrelief #anxiety #anxietyproblems #anxietyattack #anxietyquote #anxietyrecovery #anxietysupport #anxietyfighter #anxietywarrior

Currently reading @vexking Good Vibes, Good Life and committing myself to a more positive life. I’ve always been a negative soul, looking at everything from a pessimistic view and just calling it ‘being realistic’. I was ruining my own happiness with the perception i chose to look at life with, that everything was shit and nothing would get better because that’s the way the life is. - Realistically, we control our entire lives. We are free to make changes and be who we want to be, nothing is inevitable. It’s only until recently that I realised that putting in work to better yourself can achieve amazing things. At the end of the day, we choose how to look at our lives. Whether we look at everything as wonderful and life to be a blessing, or hating everything and deeming the world to be an awful place - that is our CHOICE. - It’s not easy and of course life tests you sometimes, but you need to be thankful every single day. As I sit with a roof over my head, a job to make money and a group of family and friends who love me, I’m one of the luckiest people alive. Every day in my planner I write a list of things that I’m grateful for at the beginning of every day, it makes me appreciate the things that truly matter and feel blessed to be here in good health. It takes two seconds and I’m always amazed at how many things that come to mind, I could write a book on the positive things of life. Block the bad shit out ✌🏼
I needed to see this today and I’m sure someone else out there does too - although it can seem like the hardest task in the world sometimes, being thankful for the little things is SO important. I get too blinded by what I don’t like about my life and tend to forget what is great 💕
That’s Mental Health Awareness. That’s what we need, but we’re so so far away from it. We will get there some day 🧡 For every person who doesn’t understand, there is someone who does.
